Combine all dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Microwave ½ cup of water for 20-25 seconds (depending on how strong your microwave is).
Mix microwaved water with the other ½ cup of room temperature water. Your water should be between 110-120 degrees now. Since using Instant Rise Yeast, your water can be up to 130 degrees.
NOTE: If you are using Active Dry Yeast, your temperature should be only between 105-115 degrees.
Add 1.5 tbsp of Oil to the water and mix.
Add water/oil mixture to dry ingredients.
Use back of wooden spoon to combine all ingredients until all dry ingredients are combined.
Cover and let it rise at room temperature for 60 minutes.
After 60 minutes, sprinkle generous amount of flour on dough and use back of wooden spoon to stir and work out air bubbles.
Shape dough into final shape – this recipe makes 2 nice size baguettes. Place on baking tray or baguette tray, cover and let it rise for 30-45 minutes.
Pre-heat oven to 430 degrees.
Cover baguette dough with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
After 25 minutes, remove aluminum foil and bake another 8 minutes.
Voila – fresh bread made easy – active cooking time should be only 10 minutes. Have fun!
